All About The Music Man Al Gomes

With more than 30 years experience in the music world, Al Gomes is the creator of an prize-winning company, Big Noise. Helping clients with their music career, they consult on music production whilst promoting artists in development for film and television.

Even though Big Noise mainly work with smaller and more independent artists, Gomes has an intensive list of connections in the mainstream music industry. He’s had the pleasure of working with the likes of Katharine McPhee from American Idol, Paul Doucette of Matchbox 2 and have had the pleasure of producing such bands as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Little Anthony as well as many big and well known names.

Big Noise are celebrated for the beginnings of Christina Aguilera, who worked closely with her as publicist, web designers, biographers and promoters. They also helped with the production of two of her bigger hits, the singles Holiday and What A Valentine Wants.

Gomes and Big Noise can add a variety of popular productions to their books. He has worked with famous people in the music business.Big Noise helps with art direction for videos and printed media, and over sees manufacturing and distribution of each finished product.

With up to 10 prestigious awards, Big Noise is celebrated for really helping the new and unknown to leap to the front of the stage. Helping them with big and important decisions like public image, getting enough studio time, and working to a sensible budge befitting a new artist. They are great ambassadors for up and coming talent and good at pointing out future big names.

At Rhode Island College, Gomes, the founder of Big Noise, secured his Bachelors in Arts and communication. To help his learning process and gain further skills in the world of publications and producing he found himself working for the school newspaper and on the schools radio station. He became the editor for the arts and entertainment section of the newspaper and DJ’d the radio station, the eventually went as far as also producing other shows for the station.

The Band Wagon Project was started by Al Gomes to boost awareness about the homeless people of America. He received The Jefferson Award from The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Foundation for raising much needed funds going toward aid, food and shelter. This project saw several well known identities, who combined their efforts in recording the song called Three Sides of Hunger song which was performed for two charity, televised concerts.
