Instead of letting SNL funny man actor Andy Samberg get to him, Jack Johnson, an American musician and soft rock singer, decided to have a little fun in the music video ?At Or With Me.?
Samberg has portrayed Johnson in more than skits on the show. Jack Johnson decided to hire the comic and have Samberg perform as a goofy character in the video.
In the music video, Jack Johnson and his band are set up in a secret show as they get ready to perform ?At Or With Me? and Jack Johnson sees Samberg walk in with two buddies. Samberg and his friends are dressed in black trench coats, white button down shirt, black tie and big cop glasses.
All during the music video, Andy Samberg and Jack Johnson openly show their dislike for each other. Jack Johnson even wonders to one of his band members if Sanberg is ?the guy from SNL who makes fun of me??
As the song goes on, Andy Samberg openly mocks the singing of Jack Johnson and his guitar abilities. About midway through the video, Jack Johnson jumps on Andy Samberg from the stage and they pretend to ?fight? throughout the balance of the song.
The fighting stops when Andy Samberg is mowed down by a car. Jack Johnson goes to Andy Samberg to help him up and they return to the secret show to finish doing the song together. The music video finishes up with Andy Samberg breaking a chair on the back of Jack Johnson and leaving.
Jack Johnson is not only a mellow, well-known entertainer, but before that career, he was a award winning film producer, a professional surfer, and a own record label owner. Jack Johnson has created 5 studio albums.
The first album, Brushfire Fairytales, in 2001 facilitated his successful transition from film producing to musician. Other albums include Sleep Through the Static (2008), On and On (2003), In Between Dreams (2005), and To the Sea (2010). With this much of success to his name, Jack Johnson can afford to have a little fun with his fame. If anything, his ability to laugh at himself will only make the talented artist more popular than ever.
When you think of music for business think of DMX.
