7. Warm-up – Is this part of your process? When you don’t warm-up, you’ll not sing to your capability. You could also be risking damage. Tongue twisters, humming and doing scales are great warming up exercises.
8. Palate – This is one tip that may be missed by people wanting to sing better. The very tip of your tongue needs to be positioned right behind your teeth in order to sing effectively. Your voice will resonate because there is more area available in your mouth.
9. Don’t Strain – Singing should never hurt your voice. You will need to try to increase your range, but you must do it in a manner that won’t result in injuries to your voice. Your goal needs to be a correct warmup and trying to raise your range very gradually to make sure it is safe. Slow and steady is the solution.
10 .Diet – This is the final tip on ways to start singing better. Watch your diet. Dairy food and drinks can damage your voice. Caffeine will too. Above all, don’t smoke.
